So I’ll admit that when I hear someone say “Gotham,” my mind immediately jumps to Gotham City, Batman, and his various nemeses. But then I discovered this fabulous gem in New York City, and Gotham Hall landed itself on my wedding wish list.
Gotham Hall is considered the source for an elegant and sophisticated wedding celebration. It has been featured in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine, and has played host to some big-wig stars of the wedding world, such as Preston Bailey (another wish-list post for another time). Its luxurious interior features most prominently its seven-story Grand Ballroom! Yes, you heard me — Seven. Stories. An impressive space if ever there was one.
And with such timeless beauty! Passing through a set of brass doors, you walk into a spacious ballroom fit for royalty. “Your eyes are instantly drawn upward to the miraculous gilded ceiling centered above the inlaid marble floor. In the center of the unique gold-leafed honeycomb design sits a one-of-a-kind 3,000 square foot stained glass ceiling. Regal granite walls and solid limestone Corinthian columns adorning each end of the hall’s oval further accentuate the grandeur of the architecture.”
I have yet to see anything that isn’t utterly lavish featured in this ballroom. Gotham Hall provides the perfect canvas for a wedding designer’s dream.

You can have a cocktail hour in the Lounge, adjacent to the Grand Ballroom itself. Featuring a hand-carved, richly painted ceiling and white marble wainscoting, it makes for an easily customized space for guests to mingle. And overlooking the Grand Ballroom is the Mezzanine, with its own floor-to-ceiling columns and two-story arched windows.
All in all, this is a dream location for a luxury wedding gala! Style, sophistication, elegance, and even opulence. Sounds like perfection to me!
