Wedding Wish-List Wednesday: David Tutera

It should surprise no one that I’m a huge fan of famous wedding planner David Tutera.  I was absolutely obsessed with his show “My Fair Wedding,” and actually own the first four seasons on my Kindle.  David Tutera is truly a wedding visionary.  His designs are always unique, beyond beautiful, full of personality, and definitely trend-setting.  He is an artist.

So imagine how excited I was when I learned he had a line of wedding gowns!  He had teamed up with Mon Cheri Bridal to create simply sumptuous wedding attire that any bride would love.

Here is what Mon Cheri has to say about David’s creations:
“David Tutera for Mon Cheri is a truly glamorous and unique wedding dress collection that captures the personality of every bride on her wedding day.  David works closely with Mon Cheri designer Martin Thornburg to develop an assortment of fashionable bridal gowns ranging from traditional ball gowns to modern wedding dresses, and couture bridal fashions to more informal wedding designs. David Tutera for Mon Cheri offers today’s stylish brides with high quality fabrics, hand-beaded Swarovski crystals, and impeccable fit at an affordable price.”

What I love about these gowns is that they really have that timeless feel, that classic ideal that will last longer than just the latest fad.

Shall we peruse some of my personal favorites?  There’s the Athena — which definitely evokes that Grecian goddess look with its sleek yet flowing design.

Or the Guinevere, which has that classic fairy-tale look.

I tend to be picky about wedding gowns in tones other than the whites, ivories, and creams…but David Tutera can create a blush or even a blue wedding gown that is to die for!  (And in fact, the blue is one of my very favorites!)

I love the flowing design of the Eliana.

Or the soft elegance of the Lourdes.

I like the enchanting, almost whimsical floral design of the Leia.  (And yes, my inner Star Wars nerd does a little “squee” at the name.)

And even his more modern designs still manage to evoke that sense of classic, timeless romance that, to me, epitomizes a bride.

Every time I see David Tutera’s gowns, my heart kinda skips the proverbial beat, and I think to myself “Give me a camera and a model and I will rock some amazing bridal portraits!”
